Hi I have gotten a copy of "Hamilton County Pioneers" (Wilson, 1998) on inter-library loan and have it for only this week. If you would like a lookup for someone in early Hamilton County (Chattanooga), I'll let you know if they are included and will try to send as much info as possible. The book is apparently a compilation of articles from the Chattanooga Free Press (not sure of publication dates). It is interesting reading but not sure how factual - however it may supply "clues" -- it has 1-3 page stories on the various families; each story contains many quotations but no references as to where the information or quotations came from originally. if you have someone you'd like me to check on for you, send me an email at mel1@cdc.gov
