    3. Jean Hope some of this helps: I can tell you that Tavenor was not in GA in 1830. I don't know the exact location of the Masoner's lands, but if they lived on the east side of the TN river in Rhea County, in 1820-1830, then as of 1836, without moving, they would now be in Meigs County. >From "A Compendium of Rhea and Meigs Counties, TN 1808 through 1850" Rhea County: Taxes: 1823 (Capt. Smith's Co.): Isaac Masoner 1 WP, 1 stud horse ($3.00 tax) 1823 (Capt. Smith's Co.): Tavender Masoner 1 WP Census: 1830 in addition to John also shows: Isaac Mason 000001-1001 p.371 Marriages: Isaac Masener to Mahala Templeton, Feb 14, 1828 (same), Archibald F. Gerald (Fitzgerald) MG, Edward Templeton Fm (AR) Tavenor Masoner to Peggy Gerral or Gerald (Probably Fitzgerald), Dec 13, 1832 (Dec 14), Archibald F. Gerrold (Fitzgerald) MG, John Neaves Bm (AR) [I think the (Fitzgerald) is to show that's where they included the Gerald name in this book] Notice (in the marriages) the different spelling of Archibald's name Gerald/Gerrold. Meigs County: 1840 Census: Isaac Masoner 1100001-121001 p.229 Tabner Masoner 010001-00101 p.228 (this shows the adult male (Tabner/Tavenor?) as being 30-39, Tavenor was married in 1832, so would have been 22-31 when married, and could possibly have a child (male) in the 5-9 range, but would not have a child (girl) in the 10-14 range. This may not be Tavenor or there is a possibility this is a second marriage for the wife.) He was in Meigs county in 1840 Does not appear in 1850-1900 census in Meigs or Rhea Counties 1850 Census: Isaac Masoner 53 (Farmer), Mahala 41, Sally Ann 18, John T. 16, James M. 13, Margaret M. 11, George W. 10, Mahala A. 7, Vilina T. 3, p.743-242 Miscellaneous -- Meigs (no dates on this) Isaac Masoner: Hiwassee District, Burkett Chapel area John Masoner: Hiwassee District, Valley Road from Shiloh to Goodfield Tavener Masoner: Hiwassee District, Burkett Chapel area >From "Meigs County, TN County Court Minute Book 1 (1836-1841) Trustee's book of claims (1836-1845): Monday 3 Jun 1839 Jurors for the Sept Term o Circuit Court: Dist 2 - Tavanor Masener, John Chatten, James Howser Sept term 1839 338 Tavner Masener Juror for 2 days $2.00 Monday 5 Oct 1840 Dist 2 - James Howser, Tavner Masoner, John Chattin Tue 5 Jan 1841 Tavner Masner overseer of road in place of Robert Phillips, resigned Jan Term 1841 461 Tavner Massoner Juror for 3 days $3.00 Jan Term 1843 Tavner Masoner Juror for 5 days $5.00 >From "Rhea County, TN Tax lists 1832-1834, and County Court minutes Vol d 1829-1834" Feb 1829 Appt Taverner Masoner overseer/road from ridge near Edward Templetons to the McMinn County Line in place of Samuel Fitzgerral and to have same hands to work under him.
