I am hoping someone on list may be a desc of the McCaleb family who were in Rhea CO. This would be the Andrew McCaleb family. There is a McCaleb cemetery SE of Spring CIty with graves for ARchie McCaleb, Nancy J McCaleb, Andrew McCaleb, Anna McCaleb, and ELizabeth and Archibald McPherson. Andrew McCaleb was the son of Archibald McCaleb who died in Knox Co TN. There was another son named James N. (Believed to be James NEWTON) who settled in Roane Co TN. Andrew was also in Roane for awhile before going to Rhea. There was another brother, Samuel, who was also in the area. James Newton McCaleb married Susannah HOPE in Roane Co TN 10-20-1823 and it is said he finally removed to AR but no proof of this...howeverhis son James Haywood McCaleb did go to AR. I am hoping someone may have info on these McCalebs, to help prove the link between James Newton, Andrew, and James Haywood. Regina Roper
