    3. Donna, According to the Big Black Book of Rhea Co. on page 147, Telephone Service was established during the early 1900's by the Rhea Springs Telephone Service. A line ran from Spring City through Rhea Springs and to the Iron Hill area. It featured the old hand-cranked party-line telephones. Good try though. Keep your thinking cap on. There are lots of list available, like the oldest known list of jurors summoned for the Circuit Court was found in the minutes of the County Court for 24 April 1810, and included a fellow named Pierson Brock. Related???? Keep searching.... Fred and Mary Salter Eagle River, Alaska Does anyone happen to know of an 1890 Rhea County, TN telephone directory that is available for lookups? Many in my BROCK line were born in the 1880s and without the 1890 TN censuses I am having a difficult time finding where some of them were in that 20-year gap. One relative married in Rhea County in 1885 and might possibly have been living there because the family doesn't show again until the early 1900s in Campbell Co., TN. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated, Donna (Brock) Strong
