Does anyone have access to census records of 1840 and 1850 and birth records of 1845?? Could you please check the census records for a Thomas and/or Elizabeth Davis? Also would like someone to check to see if the births of twins, Thomas Jefferson and Nancy Caroline Davis on 1/16/1845 were recorded in Rhea Co? Parents would have been Thomas and Elizabeth Davis. Thanks. Donna

I am researching the White family in Rhea County, TN. I have a John White (2/1/1855-1/6/1918) married to Susan Couch (1854-3/3/1936). I have been unable to find parents for them. They had several children, Walter (12/24/1881-2/14/1951), Milbourne(1875), Austin, Ida Bell (1873), and Jackson P. (1888). Walter was Superintendent of schools in Rhea county for many years, was a state Representative and Senator. He also ran for Governor of Tennessee in 1926 and was defeated by Governor Austin Peay. My grandfather Floyd was the son of Jackson White and Annie Heird, daughter of S.M. and Louisa Heird. He married Dollie White, and they lived in Rhea County nearly all thier lives. If you happen to have any info on this family, it would be greatly appreciated. Gina Guinn

I need some help with lookup at Rhea Co courthouse. I am looking for the W.W.I veterans registration for Moses Coleman JOHNSON. I need the location of where he enlisted or registered for the draft. Sometimes he went by just Coleman Johnson but not sure how military records are registered. If there is a mention of his company or unit that would also be helpful. Thanks for any help Barbara
