After Meigs Co. was formed in 1836 the Griffin, Harvey and Redman's seem to be on the Meigs Co. side. Am hoping they left more records than I have found to date in Rhea Co. A Thomas and James Griffin were in Rhea Co. in 1828. They witnessed the will of John Redman then. Anyone who has resources for Rhea Co. that mentions any of the above surnames if you could let me know I would be most appreciative! And God Bless you if you do... Kay Griffin Snow
Larry, Noticed your interest in the Rhea County NOBLETT family. Am working on the family of William NOBLETT and his wives Margaret BARR and Elizabeth CASEY. Have never had any luck with the family before they arrived in Rhea County, though I believe them to be connected to the NOBLETTs of Pennsylvania. Have information on William and some of his descendants in Maries County, Missouri, especially Margaret Ann "Peggy" NOBLETT and her husband John BOWMAN. Would like to hear from you and share what I think I know. Cliff Ocheltree New Orleans LA
Roll Call GILLESPIE CLEAGE NEILSON HAYS HAYES
Hi Donna, No one asked for a roll call...it was spontaneous! Roll calls are prohibited on some lists, but because we are a relatively small group, I saw no reason why we shouldn't share information. In fact I am archiving the messages to do some lookups and to have on hand when your 'cuzzins' come looking for you ... either here or on the query page.
