Hi everyone, I am new to your list. I am researching NEILL/NEAL and BROWN. I saw a map with Martin Creek on it and it also showed a place called BROWN HOLLOW. I have been informed that Brown Hollow is not in Jackson County, but is actually in Putnam County. Does anybody know the history of Brown Hollow or how it got its name? The BROWN family I am researching is Thomas BROWN married Nancy LITTON in 1795 Botetourt County, Va. He moved to Jackson County, Tn in 1801. Putnam was formed from Fentress, Jackson, Smith, White and Overton in 1854. I would appreciate any information, willing to share my data. Kindest regards, Vivian Vaillancourt Eagal Mobile, Alabama
