The latest issue of the UCGA's "Upper Cumberland Researcher" includes a transcription of Capt. John S. Quarles' Muster Roll for Company "K" (afterwards Company "G") of the 8th Tennessee Cavalry during the Civil War. I have been trying to locate the notes/diary/journal of Col. George G. Dibrell, who commanded this regiment. (I'm guessing Dibrell referred to his notes when he wrote the entry for the 8th Cavalry for Lindsley's "Military Annals of Tennessee".) If anyone has any leads on where this information might be, I'd be very grateful. I have checked with the Tennessee State Library and found nothing.
