Hi Folks, In a recent issue of the Polk County quarterly, a very good question was ask.. Have you shared your info with the Polk County Historical & Genealogical Society, or any area Historical Society that your ancestors were from??? People are constantly walking in to these places, looking for info on their families. Imagine the thrill they would get if there was a family file already at the Genealogical/Historical Society, regardless how big, or small.. It would not only help these people, but could be a way for you to find new relatives. I personally have been contacted by several people regarding info I have sent to PCHGS. I try to always include my name, snail-mail address, and e-mail address on the sheets I send. That way, the person can reach me whether they are online or not. You do not have to be a member to provide your info, nor to research the files at a lot of the Genealogy/Historical Societies. Just a thought..:):):) Connie Baumann Asst.
