Looking for information on an ALLEN family from Polk county. Jesse C Allen (1835-1912) married Annie Tanner in 1855 and Nancy Hedden in 1876. Perhaps he was also married to a Jane - or perhaps Annie or Nancy was called Jane. Jesse and Annie's children include: David P William J Millard Filmore Margaret John C Jesse E Jesse's possible other children (perhaps Nancy was the mother): Sousan James C Phebe Louisa Fremont Perry Caroline Laurie Taylor Clay Jesse and "Jane A." appear on 1860 Fannin County census Jesse and Anna appear on 1870 Polk County census Jesse and Nancy appear on 1880 Polk County census Jesse is buried at Wiregrass cemetary in Polk County. Nancy is buried at Bear Paw Cemetary in Cherokee County, NC. Nancy's parents were John Hedden and Sallie Brown. I don't know where Annie is buried or who her parents are - not sure about Jesse's parents (perhaps his dad is William Jefferson Allen).
