Hello, list! Your list administrator, Susan and I have been corresponding concerning opening the gateway between the Polk County message board and the Polk mail list. Since most of you seemed to be in favor of the move I have contacted the Boards administrator concerning this. The gateway should be opened within 24 hours or so. Opening the gateway will allow ALL messages posted to the Polk County message board to automatically be forwarded to the mail list. Those of you who subscribe to the mail list will see each and every post. Those who use only the message board will not see the mail list corespondence unless they subscribe to it. The only trick to the gateway is this: If you see a post from the message board you wish to respond to you will need to go to the message board in order to reply. Using your "reply to" command will not work. Your reply would be seen on the list but not the board. Each message gatewayed will be clearly indicated and a link to the board will be within each email. The new message boards, if you aren't familiar with them, are great. They can be your friend *G*. I am a Polk County native and also sub to the Polk list.
