Hi All, Learned something new from another list today and though all of you would want to hear about it. Beginning July 1, 2001 the regular $ 7.00 fee for a copy of the original Social Security Application, when you provide them with the number will be increased to $ 27.00. Presently, the SSDI at RootsWeb has the bell and whistle of generating letters requesting the SS-5 application and includes the SS number within the letter.
