    1. I am the list moderator/owner
    2. Hi Polk Folks, A few weeks back I sent an e-mail stating I needed to resign as administrator/moderator of this list due to my workload, etc. Well, today some administrative changes were made at my place of employment, reducing my work load somewhat. SO...I have decided to stay on as administrator of this list. I know we are not a very active list, but Polk County is where all my relatives began their life in TN, therefore it is a place very close to my heart..I hated to give up the list, and now it seems I won't have to. I want to thank Teresa and Joyce for their offers to take over this list. I really appreciate the fact that they were willing to step right in..They are both wonderful people, and they would both be wonderful list administrators. However, thankfully, due to changes from my employer, I will be able to continue as list administrator/moderator, and as Assistant County Coordinator of the Polk County, TN site. Connie Baumann

    1. DUFFs
    2. BONNIE SMITH
    3. I am seeking information on the DUFF families living in Polk County after 1839 to about 1870. One of my relatives was County Sheriff, John Calvin DUFF. His mother is believed to have died while he was serving as sheriff of Polk Co. during that time. I particularly want to find her death date and burial site: Sarah (Sallie) Haynes DUFF, b.VA 1785, died in mid to late 1860s. They were Presbyterian. Any information on any DUFF appreciated.
