Glenda, If you know which company they were in you can order through the NARA. You can order the request forms online, and then mail in. If you can't find them in a Polk Co. check, GA (Fannin and Gilmer). My great great grandfather, Alex Lanning, lived in Isabella (Polk) on the 1860 census, but he enlisted in the GA infantry.
