Here is a note for anyone researching the HAMPTON lines of Polk Co. TN. My Grandfather, Acarious Monterville (Monty) HAMPTON is listed incorrectly on the SSDI Interactive Index at Rootsweb. I have tried several times to correct this information and it still has not been changed. His name has been incorrectly spelled as "Ackrious Hampton". His birth date is 2 June 1879.
