A Polk researcher, Robin Hunt, has asked if we could start a marriage collection project for Polk, which I think is a great idea, considering the inavailability of early marriage records. Connie is going to handle the processing of the information. So if you have a marriage that happened in the Polk area in your family before 1894, send both the bride and groom names to Connie (address below) with at least 2 pieces of evidence verifying it took place. One of them can be from census records, but not both. The other should be from bible records, pension application, death certificate, newspaper, etc. Connie Baumann LITTLETN@aol.com and Cathy Hall cat5hall@email.msn.com TNGenWeb Bradley County http://www.tngenweb.org/bradley TNGenWeb Polk County http://www.tngenweb.org/polk I support *Non-profit* Online Genealogy!
