Hi Everyone, RootsWeb also has an individual events calendar for each countyin the USA. This calendar allows everyone the ability to post their event to it. I have set them up for both Union & Fannin Cos., GAGenWeb so that everyone can post their 2000 Reunion info. Save's me lots of time since I no longer have to maintain that page. Other stuff we are posting are events/meetings of local historical or gen. societies, changes and 'what's new' at our websites, etc. To find your county calendar go to www.rootsweb.com and look under the new Communities area.... Hope this helps, CAT Cathy Hall wrote: > from another list... > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > Kathy Hudson, who is a CC for several counties within The USGenWeb > Project, has put up a Genealogical Events site so that people can be > informed of where and when such events are taking place. > > http://www.genealogyshoppe.com/events.html > > Cheryl Rothwell > clrothwell@mindspring.com > > Cathy Hall > Grand Island, NY > > TNGenWeb Bradley County > http://www.tngennet.org/bradley > Subscribe/Unsubscribe to Bradley Mail List: > TNBRADLE-L-request@rootsweb.com > TNGenWeb Polk County > http://www.tngennet.org/polk > Subscribe/Unsubscribe to Polk Mail List > TNPOLK-L-request@rootsweb.com > USGenNet-- > http://www.usgennet.org -- Carol Ann "Cat" Tindell Jacksonville Beach, FL C.A.T.'s Southern Genealogy: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~catinjax Researching: AKINS, BERRY, BOWERS, BROOKS, CANTRELL, DANIEL, McCRAVEY,ROBERTS & WOOD{S} Our Southern AKINS: http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~catinjax/akins Researching: A&D of James AKIN, Sr. Henrico Co., VA including his g-grandson, Lewis AKINS who d. 1791 Laurens Co., SC. ======================================================= TENNESSEE MARRIAGES, 1851-1900 (Update) Becoming the sixteenth state in 1796, Tennessee was home to over one million residents before the American Civil War. This database is a collection of marriage records from the state between 1851 and 1900. This update adds marriages from Warren County between 1852 and 1900. Researchers will find the names of both bride and groom along with the marriage date. The county where the ceremony was performed is also provided. Containing over 64,000 records and the names of about 132,000 men and women, this collection can be a tremendous aid to those seeking ancestors from the area. Bibliography: Dodd, Jordan R.
