Hi everyone, I would like to thank those of you who have responded to my request for assistance on putting together the best information possible for those researching their Arney ancestry. I realize that most of your information has probably been posted on other websites, and it would possibly be redundant to share that information again. What I am after specifically, is the direct Arney branch that leads thru Peter Arney, of Tryon County, North Carolina. Whose brother was Christian Arney, and father was Jacob Arney. I am not asking you to spew your entire generations to me, it is not necessary. I am however, trying to reach out to those who are searching for the correct answer to the Arney puzzle (Jacob Arney, an Arney mystery over 280 years in the making). We KNOW that our particular Jacob Arney was NOT the son of Frederick Ernigh! However, we do not know who our particular Jacab Arney was the son of? We know he was in York County, Pennsylvania until 1767. We know that Jacob Arney settled with his family, including 17 year old Christian Arney in the area of Bethania, North Carolina. We know that both Christian and Jacob Arney died in Lincoln County, North Carolina. We know that Peter Arney was born in Tryon (now Lincoln) County, NC in 1772. If you come from this particular Arney branch or have been researching this particular Arney branch or wish to research this particular Arney branch, you are whom I wish to hear from, and collaberate with. I thank you for your time, consideration, and cooperation, believe me, it is deeply appreciated. Take care.
