    2. Mrs. Cross' father, Edgar Cornelious (Ed) Nicholas, was the son of Jeremiah A. (Jerry) Nicholas and Mary Susan Young, both buried at Joseph Nicholas Cemetery, Pickett County, TN. Her mother, Dulah Grace (Grace) Flowers, was the daughter Charles Flowers and Mary A. Neal. Mary A. Neal Flowers is buried at Lovelady-Sims Cemetery, Pickett County, TN. Both of Mrs. Cross' parents are Williams' Chapel Cemetery, Pickett County, TN. Mrs. Cross' husband, Norman Letroy (Lee) Cross, is buried at Green Acres Memory Gardens, Cumberland County, TN. He was the son of Jesse M. Cross and Pearl ?. I don't know where they are buried, but they were on the 1930 Pickett County census. ------------------------------------------------------------------- PALL MALL--Dorothy A. (Nicholas) Cross, 77, 4325 Harlan Lee Road, Pall Mall, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2007. She was a homemaker. She was born Nov. 14, 1929 in Pickett County, the daughter of Edgar “Ed” and Grace (Flowers) Nicholas. She lived most of her life in Pickett County and the past several years in winter months in Florida. She was a member of Red Hill Church of Christ and also attended the Panama City Jenks Ave. Church of Christ in Panama City, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Norman Lee Cross and brother, Glenn Nicholas. Surviving relatives include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Tony LaConte, Chipley, Fl.; Patsy and Larry Prestwood, Panama City, Fl.; son, Roger Lee Cross; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Beatrice and Eulis Evans, Pall Mall; Lois Glee and Joe Daniels, Baxter; Edith Davidson, Hagerstown, In.; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Duell and Donna Nicholas, Willie and Dorothy Nicholas, Randall and Helen Nicholas, all of Pall Mall; Oren and Carol Nicholas, Albany, Ky.; five grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Keilan and Vicky McWhorter, Nathan and Jennifer McWhorter, Phillips and Kelly Badham, Nicholas Badham, Lyle Cross and his mother Nancy; five great grandchildren, Ashlen, Grace, Skylit, Ethan and Isabella McWhorter. Also survived by nieces, nephews and other family. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 2 p.m. from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Henry Colbert officiating. Burial was at The Green Acres Cemetery, Cross-ville. Pallbearers were: Keilan and Nathan McWhorter, Larry Beaty, Phillips Badham, Jerry Ford and Lyle Cross. Special care was provided by Brown Funeral Chapel, Byrdstown.
