SPRINGPORT - Judy E. "Crabtree" Davis, 78, Springport, went home to Lord on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at the Henry County Memorial Hospital. She was born October 4, 1928 in Chanute, Tennessee to Pete and Ethel "Upchurch" Crabtree. Mrs. Davis attended Pickett County High School. Judy was a homemaker. She was a member of 20th Street United Baptist Church. Survivors include her loving husband of fifty-five years, Lemuel Davis; one daughter, Janet Godfrey (husband-Bill) of Mount Summit; two sisters, Oradean Evans and Barbara Tompkins (husband-Paul), both of Albany, Kentucky; one grandson, Christopher Sexson of Springport; two sister-in-laws, Jean Poole of Yorktown and Carolyn Crabtree Long of Byrdstown, Tennessee; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Odell, Guy and S.C. Crabtree; and one sister, Lina Knipp. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2007 at Parson Mortuary with Rev. Larry Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the mortuary Saturday.
