Ronald, Yes, gggrandfather John Little did marry Sarah Reneau and had one daughter. What I have is that John and Elizabeth Barker married in Lee CO. VA. I'm sure that John was born in TN. A couple of the children were born in Virginia, one being Vastine Stickly (Stickley?). Stickley is the name of the town and also the surname of a family there, so maybe named after one of them. John and Elizabeth went to TN just after 1850, so not on the census there. The old home place is the orginal place they settled as for as I have ever heard. I would love to talk to the son of Martha and Millard. He must have so many memorie's and maybe even some old picture's I could pay for copie's. Can you give me his name and addresss? Frances, myggrandmother married Hardy Jenkins Tompkins, had several children and then moved to Indian Territory. Hardys name is made up of three of the surname's in the family and I think they all lived in tnat area forever. We are related to the Little's, T! ompkins' Garretts, Foster's, Hardy's, Jenkins. Reneau's and Pierce. I would love to hear family storie's of how they lived, who fought in the war's, etc. Name's and date's alone get pretty boring sometime's. A lady sent me a picture of John and Elizabeth with two of their children. One is mt ggrandmother Frances, but they had her name wrong and the youngest child, a son named Napoleon Bonaparte, which is correct. It's a newpaper clipping from 1865 (I think). If you don't have a copy, I can send you one. I understand that there are a couple of book's on Overton and Pickett Co. Also about Byrdstown and area. I think Oakgrove is the actual old home place Hope to hear from you soon.
