The parents of Ethelene Capps Crouch Hunter -- Joseph Edward Capps and Essie Mae Greenwood -- are both buried at the Campbell Cemetery, Pickett County, TN. Her first husband, Delmer E. Crouch (b. March 25, 1922, d. November 27, 1944), is buried at the Upchurch Cemetery, Fentress County, TN. Brenda --------------------------------------------------------- SPRINGPORT - Ethelene Hunter, 84, went to be with her husband, Dewey on Thursday morning, January 25, 2007, at her residence. She was born August 30, 1922, in Tennessee the daughter of Joe Ed and Essie Mae (Greenwood) Capps, where she graduated from high school, moved to Muncie over 60 years ago and then lived in Springport for over 40 years. Mrs. Hunter was employed at Goodyear Tire and Rubber for several years and other businesses in Muncie, then while in Springport farmed and sold Avon. She was also a member of Delco Sympathy Club. Surviving are two sons, Joe Crouch, Springport and James Stockton (wife-Sandy), Bowling Green, KY; three daughters, Margaret Cramer, Mission Viejo, CA, Janice Rose, Muncie, and Marsha K. Delk (husband-Steve), Springport; 15 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte West, Nevada and Juanita Mullins, Byrdstown, TN; two brothers, Leon Capps (wife-Shirley), Muncie and David Capps (wife-Barbara), Springport; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband of 54 years, Dewey Hunter in May 2006; her 1st husband, Delmer Crouch who died in the service during WWII; and two sisters, Joanna Gray and Virginia Pickett. Services will be held in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, at 3:00 p.m. on Monday January 29, 2007.
