    3. Mr. Beaty, Yes, after all, since most of Peter Arney's decendants remained in Tennessee, the present day Arneys in both counties must be related to him in one way or another. So, in answer to your question, yes, if you could that would be great. Then I will try to contact them to see if any of them can give me their family information and together we could back track our families. That is a wonderful idea. Afterall, the present holds the key to the past. Thank you very much. Sincerely, Stan Arney Wichita, KS Willie R Beaty <wbeaty@twlakes.net> wrote: Stan, Are you interested in the present day Arney's of Overton and Pickett Counties, or more in your earlier Arney family? I don't research this family, but if you need contacts with Overton-Pickett families I could send you the telephone directory of those listed in the book. 3. Stan, I don't know if you have looked at Ancestry.com, I don't have a membership, but you can join if you think it is worth it. Also, FamilySearch.com has a free search engine. I did find several Arney's in counties in Tennessee other than Clay for 1880. I believe Grundy, Lincoln, Johnson were listed, and maybe some more. We are planning a trip to the Dakotas, Wyoming, Colorado, which may take us through Wichita in late June. Have been through there a couple of times and had a business meeting there several years ago. Nice town.
