Hi all. I have just began publishing a newsletter for the Branham/Brannum family. This newsletter will pertain to all descendants of Barnabus Branham/Brannum, who was born in VA about 1745, and died in present day Clinton Co. after 1830. His children were Matilda born 1770-1780(maybe), Nathaniel (abt 1785), Richard (abt 1789), George Washington (1786), William (1798), Pleasant (1801), John (abt 1805), and Alexander (abt 1805). Many of these descendants remained in Clinton Co., KY. Descendants of George Washington, William, and John, lived many years in Clinton Co. Almost all Branham's from Clinton Co. are direct descendants of Barnabus. Richard and Nathaniel both spent time in Overton Co., in present day Pickett Co. Richard's son, John, married Louisiana Flowers. John's descendants remain in Pickett Co. today. Just to be clear, the newsletter will deal with any descendants of Barnabus; not just those whose last name in Branham. It will aslo deal with those descendants of the female lines. The first issue of the newsletter will be ready to mail to subscribers in approximately 2 weeks. This promises to be a fantastic newsletter, which will give much detail about the Branham family. The first issue deals specifically with Richard Branham, the grandfather of almost all Brannum's in Pickett and Overton counties. The primary article provides much detail and information about his life and times; and also provides some little known information about him. Many court records, deeds, and such, have recently provided new information concerning Richard and his family, which was not known until recently. Coming issues will deal directly with some of the siblings of Richard, as well as other descendants of his father, Barnbabus. Anyone interested in the newsletter may contact me at branham-branches@digginbones.com , or rex@digginbones.com for further details on how to subscribe to the newsletter. Rex Bertram
