Jean, I m related to the Gunnels family in Pickett County. When was Mary born and do you have her parents? My ancestors were William Anderson Gunnels and his wife, Permelia Caroline Ferrell, daughter of James F. and Elizabeth Ferrell. I believe that James E. and Samantha Hill Gunnels were the parents of William Anderson Gunnels. I'll try to help.
