    3. Gina, I can help you with directions to Wolf River Cemetery in Fentress County. The easiest way to get to Fentress County from Knoxville is to take I-40 west to exit 317 at Crossville. When you exit you will be on US 127. You want to turn right (North) and proceed about 30 miles to Jamestown. Continue on US 127N another 9 or 10 miles. You will pass by a large Rock Quarry. About one mile further, look for a sign that says Alvin C. York Burial Place. Turn right and go across a bridge, continue another 1/4 to 1/2 mile and cross another small bridge. Turn left immediately after crossing the second small bridge. Go about 1/2 mile to the Wolf River United Methodist Church on the left. The cemetery is on the right. I looked in the Fentress County Cemetery book by Mabel Wheeler, and didn't see any Jenkins, Jones or Tompkins families buried there. The book was published in 1988. Let me know if I can be of any further help. 3. Guy, Thank you very much! The map is great, it had the three cemeteries I am looking for on it. I have a copy of Microsoft Street maps, but have never used it. I didn't know it would list cemeteries. I will have to get it out and play around with it. Thanks again! 3. Gina, Yes, there is a book of cemeteries for Pickett and Fentress Counties. I have the Fentress County book and would be glad to look up locations for Fentress County cemeteries. I don't have the Pickett County book, but I believe the name is Gone But Not Quite Forgotten, and a copy is in the Pickett County library. The librarian is Ruth Moles and her email address is: rmoles@mail.state.tn.us Willie ----- Original Message ----- From: "The Richardson's" <richardson69@comcast.net> To: <TNPICKET-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, December 03, 2004 7:51 PM Subject: [TNPICKET-L] Tompkins Cemetery > Can anyone give me some information about Tompkins Cemetery? > > Is there a list of cemeteries for Pickett County, with directions? > > I am also looking for a few cemeteries in Overton and Fentress counties. > > I am new to the TN area and have no clue where to go:) > > Any information will be greatly appreciated. > > Gina Richardson > > > ==== TNPICKET Mailing List ==== > To contact the list Coordinator > Shawn Gray Mailto:octk@netzero.com or > Richard M.
