Does anyone know anything about the Mary Saunders , age 62 b. S.C listed on the 1850 Perry Co Tenn census? She was living alone in household 57, between families John DePriest and James Dabbs..She shows no occupation but had 600 acres of land..Apparently her husband (whoever he might have been) received a land grant of 600 acres..That is an assumption on my part but 600 acres was the amount usually granted to the NC soldiers.. Berryman Sanders/Saunders, age 36, b. Tenn. blacksmith, lived in household 668 with wife Naomi T. (listed as Ann T.)and two children. Owned 250 acres. Joseph A. Sanders/Saunders age 30 b. Ky .farmer, household 924 with wife Sildah and five children. Shows no property on census. Is anyone researching these families? I know that several DePriests have married Sanders/Saunders in Perry County since early 1800's. Are the three families listed above related? If so, how? Any help appreciated. Thanks, Lee Sanders Hoover
