I was wondering if I could get someone to do a lookup for me. I was looking around on the website for Overton County in Genweb. The local historical/genealogy society had some online indexes for the "Overton County, Tennessee Circuit Court Enrollment January 1866-September 1867". Page 32 Landon W. OGLESBY Vs. James & Elijah W. BROWN and Simeon HINDS – DEBT. Elijah W. Brown was my great great grandfather. Up until now, I haven't been able to directly link him any of the other Browns in Overton County. I'm not sure how much detail is in the court record, but I'd like to know more about the James Brown mentioned here. I googled Landon Oglesby and Simeon Hinds and found information on both of them. Jeremiah Bruton in Hilham Overton Co. She had an older brother Elijah and a young brother James. Elendar and her husband Jerimiah were in court several times in the 1870's per notes I've seen. I don'have any details. Jerry and Ellen Moved to Cumberland Co. Ky in 1904 with their daughrer Rosa and her kids "my Dad" and both died about 1918.
