I am trying to compile a brief lineage on the John (Jack) Langford family who lived in Overton County from about 1830 up ward. I feel very sure their still descendents of that family in that area. This John served in the War of 1812- his widow Polly Langford filed for a pension off her husbands service. They were married perhaps before or shortly after the War of 1812. This John List his birth place in S.C... I have hunted for him in S.C. almost under every rock and climbed every tree..and NO John, in the Time period found in South Carolina.. 1785-1820.. Found a few john's but when i ran them down. could not have been this John. A simple clue might shed some light. That i do not have right now. I would love to correspond with anyone who has or is researching that lineage.. Rose C
