    1. Re: [TNOVERTO] LANGFORD
    2. Good Morning.... I'm also searching for Langfords...I believe that Malinda dau of Jack & Polly was married to my GG Grandfather Fielding Smith...He did marry a Malinda of the same age & b. TN ...& the Langfords lived very close to the Smiths in Overton Co..But I have no verification... Our family believes to have a Cherokee connection & Malinda's mother Mary Polly Crane would account for this...Glad to share any info that I have...Russ Smith ----- Original Message ----- From: "D&R" <dcran41266@comcast.net> To: <tnoverto@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, June 18, 2008 5:59 PM Subject: Re: [TNOVERTO] LANGFORD >I am trying to compile a brief lineage on the John (Jack) Langford family >who lived in Overton County from about 1830 up ward. > I feel very sure their still descendents of that family in that area. > This John served in the War of 1812- his widow Polly Langford filed for a > pension off her husbands service. > They were married perhaps before or shortly after the War of 1812.
