Louanne, I have Elizabeth Marcum born 27 Aug 1810, Wake County, NC. Her parents are Samuel ( 1755 VA - 1839 NC ) and Ard Ane Young 1755 NC - after 1830 NC ). I don't have any more on Young but Samuel is the son of John Markham ( 1725 - 1788 ) and "Almond" don't know if Almond is the first or last name. Samuel was married twice and had a total of 15 children. I do have the names of all. If you would like more information I can send you a GEDCOM file. I have Brinkley's surname spelled HARWOOD I got this information from James White. I have not, as yet, verified this information. Guille

In the book Harry S. Turman the first part give some family history. he descends form a Young family. Might take a look at that..
