My William Smith died about 1847 in Overton County TN. By the age of his wife I would guess him at that time to be between 40 and 50 years of age. Who his sibling were or parents are, is a fact totally unknown to me. His daughter Mahulda married Josiah B. Langford and by 1852 had move to southwestern MO. I will have to look as to the year this Williams Smiths wife died, but from memory I am going to say she lived another 20-30 years. The 1830 Census for Overton Co. The children were listed as 3 males age less than 5 , one female less than 5 and 1 female age over 5 - less than 10. Rex, maybe my William divorced Rebekah. In the 1840 census Rebekah had two grown sons living with her. she d. in 1844 the 1850 census shows Coleman Smith living with Catherine/Katherine Reed and husband Wiley. I found a tombstone with the Name Coleman Smith a Tennessee confederate soldier.
