To anyone, I would like to make a request. I am looking for photographs of Arneys, more specifically my branch of the Arneys. My branch of the Arney's arrived in Tennessee around 1799, with the patriarch Peter Arney. Peter Arney was born in Lincoln County, NC in 1772 (his father was Jacob Arney and his brother was Christian Arney, Sr.). My direct branch goes as follows: Peter Arney - Matthew Arney, Sr. - William Ervin Arney - Otha Jouett Arney - Stanley Goble Arney - Jerry Kenneth Arney, Sr. I would like to have more than just their name, date of birth, and date of death. I would like to have more than just a picture of a tombstone. I would prefer to have an actual photograph of each Arney, if one still exists. If not an actual photograph of the person, then a photo of some object that was theirs, like a Bible, a diary, a tool, something they made with their own hands, etc. I have been blessed to have received photos of Matthew Arney, Sr. and Otha Jouett Arney, but I will certainly accept more if you are willing to share. Also, the photographs I seek are not just of these men, but of any of their kin (wives, parents, siblings, children, etc.). If you have photographs of Arney's that you are willing to share, please let me know. If you do not have a way to scan them, maybe you could postal mail the photo to me, I would scan it, then return the photo to you, A.S.A.P. I realize this is asking a lot, for you to share your family treasures, but I pray you will. Thank you for listening, take care and God bless, Stan Arney Wichita, KS Researching my Arney heritage, looking for definitive tangible proof of each of their existence, so we KNOW the truth and can share it with others.
