I found this entry in the 1860 Census of Overton Co TN: 1860 census of Overton Co TN, 11th District, Monroe, 1143-1143, June 14, 1860 Nathaniel Hutson ..... age 50 NC farm laborer Hannah Hutson ....... age 46 TN housekeeper cannot read/write James Hutson .......... age 22 TN farm laborer John Hutson ........... age 19 TN farm laborer Thomas Hutson ....... age 17 TN laborer Elizabeth Hutson ..... age 15 TN in school Malvina Hutson........ age 9 TN in school Elizabeth Bilbrey.... age 68 NC cannot read/write I am guessing that this Elizabeth Bilbrey, born abt 1792 in NC, is the mother of Hannah, born abt 1814 in TN. Can anyone identify Elizabeth BILBREY in the 1860 census? Does this Elizabeth Bilbrey fit into the family you are researching? Note that this family (without Elizabeth Bilbrey) is found in the 1870 Census of Overton Co TN; however the spelling of the surname Hutson in 1870 was changed to "Hudson". My husband is the great-grandson of Elizabeth Hutson, age 15, in the above census entry.
