    3. Close enough! I was always just a barn carpenter myself. Not too exact in my measurements. Anyway, Lester Flatt was buried in White County. That always gave me a pain that he would not claim the home soil. I thought a lot of him and his music. Sort of wish he had been planted there. Now, the big controversy that this innocent conversation is helplessly drifting. WAS FLAT CREEK NAMED FOR ITS APPEARANCE OR WAS FLATT CREEK NAMED FOR THE FAMILY????? Gary D.
