I am looking for my Great grandmother's, Sarah Permelia Carr's grandparents. Sarah's parents were William Carr b. 2/16/1829 and d. 9/9/1868 in Overton Co., TN & married on 10/6/1852 to Eliza Jane Copeland b. 11/13/1/1832 and d. 3/11/1911 in TN. Any help you have w/ be appreciated.

The grandparents of Sarah Permelia Carr were Thomas Carr and Rebecca (Unknown) and Richard Copeland and Margaret Dobkins? The parents of Thomas elude most researchers. There was a John Carr in Overton County in the early 1800's that I believe was related to Thomas John Carr was from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and was married to Fanny Sells. Rebecca's parents are unknown as well at this time. I have some suspicion that she may be a Tipton or a Sells. I have no proof of this speculation.
