    2. Thank you Dona for your information too. I enjoy meeting "cousins" and always appreciate having their information. This morning I received some fax copies of the Bilbrey/Hawks/Oberfelt family information pages from a bible that dates back to the very early 1800s. Ask hubby if there is any connection to the Hawks, Looney, Oberfelt families in his family. Keep in touch. Ruth

    3. Hello Ruth, I have no connection to the Looney's but found this recently in VA Colonial Militia by Crozier: Peter Looney, dec'd, Sergt. in Capt. Smith's Co. of Rangers last war, till he was taken prisoner by French and Indians in 1756. That he did not return from his captivity for near two years. 3. There was a Looney Hatcher in Overton County. He was a Confederate soldier and was buried at the Nelson Cemetery. Such an odd name might be a connection to your line. Just a thought. Gary D. 3. I have found this on a Felix Bilbery: Father: Lawrence BILBREY Mother: Alvina COPELAND kids names: Note Martin Vanburen Bilbrey was father of Josie Bilbrey who married John M. Conner. She was born in 1868 if my data is correct: You might look in the 1880 census to see if there were younger sisters. AS I expect the one that married G.W Smith was a sister. Your Elizabeth or Sally whatever her name was probably came off this line too. I'll bet we are in this line in this area. But there was anothr line that lived down around Hillham and the Jackson Coutny line and they could be the ones that moved into Jackson Couty. Or she could be off one of the Bilbrey families that lived in Jackson Co. in the 1880 census. Family 1 : Sarah Ann WEST +Alexander P. BILBREY George West BILBREY Stokely Rhion BILBREY +Francis Marion BILBREY +Emily E. BILBREY Eliza Jane BILBREY Selina BILBREY Celia D. BILBREY +Martin Van Buren BILBREY Felix Grundy BILBREY Alvin Cullom BILBREY Felix Grundy BILBRERY BIRTH: 10 Dec 1842, ,Overton,Tennessee Father: William BILBREY Mother: Sarah Ann WEST Family 1 : Isabelle Emeline MOREDOCK MARRIAGE: 17 Jan 1871, ,Overton,Tennessee ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, September 08, 2003 2:05 PM Subject: Re: [TNOVERTO] Bilbrey > Thank you Dona for your information too.
