Beulah Greenwood Hargis was the daughter of John Preston Greenwood and Louaiza Bilbrey (both buried at Ruth's Chapel Cemetery in Overton County, TN). Her husband, Troy Lowell (Lowell) Hargis (b. 8/30/1911, d. 7/6/1948), is buried at Shiloh at Windle Cemetery, Overton County, TN. He was the son of Elvin L. Hargis and Sarah Cantrell. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughters, Geneva Nell (husband, Cecil) Lee and Linda Carol (husband, James) Ballentine; siblings, Lola Belle Hawkins and Carlos Greenwood; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Hargis. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson. Burial will be in Pleasant Walk Cemetery, Anderson. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the South Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
