Mary-- I have looked at the census records on the site, but I don't recall or know if they are listed in order, but if I remember correctly, they were located near each other. I do not know the exact located in North Carolina that he was born. That comes from census records of 1850. I just find it very odd that all the West in Overton in 1820 have a connection to each other and James is the only one that is not connected to them, Nor have I seen anyone researching him to see if they could find a connection. He could be the missing link for a lot of other West researchers.
