Leuwanna, My Elmores came from around the Wilkes Co. NC area in the very early 1800s and settled in around what is now where the Putnam-Fentress-Overton-Cumberland County lines come together. Another bunch, all with the same names--you know how everybody named their young'ns after their own brothers and sisters--wound up in Davidson Co., TN. I don't know about MO, but I'm sure they probably did.
