all. About a year or so ago, I used my digital camera to photograph every page of Overton County deed book “A”. I then imported these 330 pages into an Adobe Acrobat file. I then went through the entire book, and created an “every name” index to this deed book. This is a “clickable” index; meaning that once I locate a name of interest in the index, I simply click that name, and it takes me to the page containing that name. These deeds (many are original grants) are from the late 1700’s to the very early 1800’s. I have sent this email to Pickett and Fentress counties also, because they were both a part of Overton County at that time. I will gladly do some lookups from this deed book. Please do not ask me for any Smith’s, Jones, etc. First and last names must accompany your requests. Keep in mind that these cover a period of time from about 1785 – 1808, best I can tell, without ready every deed. Also, keep in mind that these are actual images of the deeds. They are not transcribed. Therefore, I will not be able to transcribe these for you, and type out the entire deed in a reply to a request. Instead, I will reply by providing the date of the deed, and the parties who were involved.
