My grandfather was James Copeland CARR. He was the son of Robert CARR and Sibbie LEDBETTER and was born 5-18-1894 in Overton Co., TN. He married Noveline Bledsoe around 1930. They were divorced sometime in the 40's and he died 6-22-1954 a little more than a year before I was born. I know that for a time they lived in Detroit, MI but I don't know much more about him. Does anyone have any knowledge of him? Also, I am looking for anything about his grandfather William M. "Billy" CARR. William was the son of Thomas and Rebecca CARR and was married to Eliza Jane COPELAND Carr. William was born in 1828 and died in 1868. He was so young and I wondered if someone had knowledge of how he died. I have not found any Civil War record of his service but wonder if his early death was related to injuries or illness from possible service in the war. Eliza Jane and William are buried in the same cemetery as James. Thanks Billy D.
