    3. Hello, Thank you but I don't know Ron or have his e-mail. I know when I was Looking for another gg-grandmothers marriage cert. I checked with the state and county courthouses in MO. and was told they had burnt down checked the library and nothing and a lady that had been doing research for years said in the 1800's towns had there own courthouse and many records could be found their that you can't find anywhere else. As towns grow county lines change and alot of records ae not moved. I was very lucky that time and found it and the lady there said most of what is took is land deads and such not the real old marriage, death, and wills and have found this to be true and they are so much cheaper to buy $1 or $2. I was wishen to maybe have the town courthouse the one that didn't burn down. Thank you for your help, Barbara eor@saber.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hal" <halsheritage@tnaccess.com> To: <tnoverto@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, November 17, 2007 7:27 PM Subject: Re: [TNOVERTO] Courthouse burnt? > Yes the court house burt but the old deed books and some of the older > records were not destoryed.
