Gary, I'm happy that someone has written a book about Hamilton and Shaw's Cavalry. My great-grandfather, Thomas David Masters enlisted at age 14. His brother, Isaac Bird Masters enlisted at age 12. Both stayed for the duration. Not the best way to spend your teen years. Dave Masters
