Annual Bilbrey Reunion Saturday October 1st 2005 The annual Bilbrey reunion of what could be called the 74th Bilbrey Family Reunion will be held at Oak Hill Methodist Church beginning at 9 a.m. for visiting which will continue through out the day. Lunch will be at 12 noon bring covered dish, desert, drink, or finger foods just whatever you would like to and come out and visit with family, friends old acquaintances and such have a fun filled fellowship day of reminiscing about old times and be sure to bring family information and pictures to share with each other. All Bilbrey descendants, kinfolk's in anyway and friends are invited. The Bilbrey reunion can be tracked back to 1931 due to the following newspaper article found in a local paper in July 14, 1944, which reads as below. Bilbrey Reunion To Be Held, Sunday, July 30 The thirteenth annual reunion of the Bilbrey generation will be held at the Okalona Church, five miles south of Livingston, on Sunday July 30. This is an annual event when the Bilbrey generation, friends and relatives meet for an all day get together, with a program of speeches, music and singing. The public is invited to attend and bring dinner and spend the day. Directions to Oak Hill Methodist Church are from interstate 40 at Cookeville take Highway 111 north until you get to Ragland & Riley Veterinarian Clinic on your right turn right onto Oak Hill road and follow this straight to the church there are church signs posted also. If you are coming from Livingston take Highway 111 south until you see Ragland & Riley Veterinarian which will be on your left turn onto the Oak Hill road then go straight to the church again signs are posted.     3. MY GRANDFATHER COULD BE ONE OF THE MEN IN THE SAWMILL PHOTO. On their wedding day in 1920 they had their photo taken on logs at a sawmill in Overton county where he worked.
