Thank you Wanda for the info!!!!! Vey much appreciated. As you know I am trying to find the parents of Martha Jane Smith b. 1835 TN, 1srt wife of William Gunter. I thought I had found her parents on the 1850 Overton Co. census as Daniel & Sarah Smith with Martha b. 1835. Then later I found out this family, including Martha, is in White Co.,TN 1860 census. Only way it could be this Martha is if she moved to Fentress Co. before 1864 as she had children with William by 1865. This is probably unlikely. So now im wondering if there is a connection with her and George W. Smith b. 1821 since his daugher also was a wife of William Gunter. JW Garrett
