My 2nd ggrandfather is John S. Brown. He and his wife Ann were living in Overton County When my ggrandfather, Austin Curtis Brown, was born on 5 Aug 1820. My John S. Brown and his brother Jacob Brown were in Caldwell County, KY, by 1825 where they appear on a tax list. Jacob was dead by 1828 as John S. was administrator of his estate. The only John S. Brown I find in the 1820 Overton County census is listed next to Sarah S.(Sevier?) Brown. Sarah was the widow of Judge Benjamin Brown and their children include a John S. Brown and a Jacob Brown. I feel that my John S. Brown and the John S. Brown, son of Benjamin and Sarah, are the same person but have found no direct evidence. Can anyone help me? Bob Brown
