Barbara, I have been trying to find the Rhum, Rhome, Roam, Roan, Roma and Rhom familes on familysearch.com today. They are invisible. The Rhums seem to leave Overton County about the time the little one of the Rhums buys a shroud for his child. I know they were here in the Civil War because Champ Ferguson stopped at Rhum's Mill on the Monroe Creek several times. I am guessing the mill site was at the mouth of Eagle Creek. I think an old mill house once sat there. Gary D. Harold, Did he talk about conditions there? My gggrandfather was there also. Just the family had nothing or kept nothing about it. Gale Prince Nash ----- Original Message ----- From: "N. I am interested in information on Samson Williams an early settler in Overton Co. He was involved in land transactions before 1811 but I do not believe he was on the 1820 Overton Co. census. I understand that he owned over 1000 acres in the area. Could anyone help with information on this man. Who were his children? Thanks. Deanna --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
