Hi Jerald, I was wondering if you have the name Daniel or Rachel Lane. Unfortuanately I do not have Rachel's maiden name but she was thought to be full-blood Cherokee. We had Oxendines in Overton County. They were of Mediterranean origin as I recall. They came to America and mixed with Indians in the Carolinas. I believe it was the Lumbee tribe. Gary D.
