    2. Looking for parents/ancestors for the spouse of John Carroll HARRIS (1896-1942). She is said to be Belle BALLEW/BILYEU, but the census gives her name as Eva. She was born 1898-1900, in TN., according to the 1920 and 1930 Census of Overton Co., TN. Belle or Eva Belle HARRIS was alive in the 1930 census, but is said to have died before John did in 1942. John is said to be buried in the Buck Cemetery in Overton Co., TN. Does anyone have a transcript of that cemetery and can check to see if Belle is also listed buried there? I am hoping to locate her year of birth then order her death certificate to see if her parents names are given on it. I cannot locate the correct Belle or Eva Belle BILYEU/BALLEW in the 1900 or 1910 census. If anyone else can find her in either of those census, I would so very much appreciate hearing of it. In case anyone else is researching this HARRIS line, John Carroll HARRIS was the son of Amos HARRIS; grandson of John HARRIS; gr-grandson of Moses HARRIS. Moses is found in the 1820 census of Overton Co., TN. Gloria Hursey _Ghursey2@aol.com_ (mailto:Ghursey2@aol.com)

    1. [TNOVERTO] Branham family newsletter
    2. Rex Bertram
    3. Hi all. The very first issue of the "Branham Branches" newsletter will be mailed out to subscribers by the end of the week. There will be 10 issues of the newsletter per year. The newsletter focus's on the descendants of Barnabus Branham, who was born in VA about 1745. However, there are, and will be articles pertaining to many of the Branham/Brannum families, who were in VA, NC, TN, KY, and other parts of the country. Most will have some connection to the Branham/Brannum families in those 4 states. Barnabus Branham may have been born in Westmoreland Co., VA. He moved to Stokes Co., NC, sometime in the 1780's, and to Roane Co., TN before 1815. Sometime during the 1820's Barnabus along with some of his children, moved to Cumberland (present day Clinton) Co., KY. His children lived in TN, KY, IL and MO. I am very excited about the newsletter. It promises to be a great benefit; and of great interest, to Branham descendants. The first issue has some great information, and articles. Although queries and family stories from subscribers will be posted in the newsletter, much of the information will be "factual" information, obtained from real records. Anyone with any questions about the newsletter; or needing further information on subscribing to the newsletter, may feel free to contact me at branham-branches@digginbones.com This is not a newsletter which will be sent via email. It is a hard copy newsletter, that will be mailed out through postal mail. Rex Bertram 132 S. Butler St. Redkey, IN 47373
